33rd Annual
Quilt Auction

Saturday, July 31, 2021
9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Carol Joy Holling Camp

Join in the 33rd Annual Quilt Auction at Carol Joy Holling Camp on July 31! The day promises good food, great fun, and lots of beautiful quilts donated by friends of camp. The auction and lunch will be held rain or shine. Bring your friends and families!

Some elements of the Quilt Auction will still look different this year. We will follow the standards and protocols for large group gatherings set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and our state and local health departments. This page will be updated as specific changes are made.

If you have questions, contact Heather at HAbbott@NLOM.org or 402-944-2544.

Silent Auction News:  We are excited to announce that the Silent Auction bidding will be online this year. People near and far will have the opportunity to join the Silent Auction bidding fun through an online auction platform called Qtego. For those who have joined us at the Heart of Camp Gala, this is the same platform that we use at that event.  If you are unfamiliar with Qtego, don’t worry; we will have many volunteers with iPads at the event to help you bid on your favorite items. We will also be sending out information and instructions on how to bid with Qtego in the spring, for those not in attendance. The live auction will not be changing and bidding will be through live or proxy bidding only.

We invite you to pre-register to make sign-in the day of the auction go quickly. When you arrive, as you drive in, we will simply confirm your registration using the phone number you provide and give you an auction number.

There are two separate payment systems for the silent and live auctions. Pre-swipe to avoid the check-out line at the end of the live auction.

Absentee Bidding

You are welcome to bid on your favorite live auction quilts even if you are unable to join us in person. Please use the 'Bid Here' button on the page of the quilt you would like to place a bid. No bids will be accepted after 9 a.m. on the day of the auction.

Silent Auction Bidding on Qtego

All silent auction items will be on Qtego for everyone to bid--even those who can't join us! Silent auction bidding will open at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 23, and close at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 31.

Auction Information

Quilts in the past have auctioned for anywhere between $25 and $20,000. Lance Larsen, a professional auctioneer from Cordova, Neb., is volunteering his time to auction the quilts. Depending on the number of quilts donated, a selected group will be sold through a silent auction. Bidding will open at the silent auction at 9 a.m. and close at 1:30 p.m. with winning bids for the day released at approximately 3 p.m.

The quilts will have numbered cards attached indicating the order in which they will be auctioned. This way, bidders can approximate when their favorite quilts will be up for auction. The cards also include information about the quilt donor and the size, type, and design of the quilt.

No pets; service dogs only.

Year after year we hear rave reviews about the Quilt Auction lunch. It will be served from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. and costs $7 for adults, $4 for kids (4-12), and free for children 3 and under. Vegetarian and gluten-free options available upon request.
